Behringer Saws ships semiautomatic band saws to Ellwood Specialty Steel

Behringer Saws Inc., Morgantown, Pa., has shipped two semiautomatic band saws to Ellwood Specialty Steel (ESS), New Castle, Pa., a steel producer for the tool, mold, and die industry. The saws are used to cut large forged steel parts at the facility.

The HBP-800 features a rigid box-type machine base with dual columns and a solid cast bow frame. It has fully automated hydraulic blade tensioning and automatic saw frame height positioning, with a cutting capacity of up to 31.5 by 31.5 in. The HBP-1500/1800 is a larger dual-column saw with autofeed control and ball screws for downfeed stability. Able to cut with bimetal or carbide-tipped saw blades, the machine features a traversable saw frame with a cutting capacity up to 59.0 by 70.1 in.
