LENOX marks 100 years in business

Cutting tool manufacturer LENOX® celebrates 100 years in business in 2015. Founded in 1915 as LENOX American Saw, the company started as a hacksaw blade manufacturer with a 10-employee team. Today the firm employs more than 900 people and sells its products in more than 70 countries.

In 1959 the company began producing hole saws. In 1965 it introduced bimetal band saw blades. Bimetal reciprocating saw blades followed in 1977. The company achieved ISO certification in 1996.

LENOX will host a Centennial Celebration for employees and customers in September at its headquarters in East Longmeadow, Mass.
