Serapid produces triple-telescopic-mast station

Serapid Inc., a supplier of lifts and transfer systems technology in Sterling Heights, Mich., has produced a triple-mast station for an engineering and scientific services firm engaged in providing support and services to the U.S. Department of Defense.

The remote-controlled Telemast triple-mast station is made of anodized aluminum tubes telescoping inside each other, able to lift a heavy load smoothly and quietly. It is powered up and down electromechanically, with no hydraulics or pneumatics involved. Operated by a single motor, the three masts are synchronized and operate seamlessly as one unit; the positioning is done with a programmable cam switch at the base.

The station can lift up to 750 lbs. with accuracy within 0.197 in. The mast can travel 11 ft. in 30 sec., from 4 ft. retracted to 15 ft. extended, and will come down smoothly even in case of high side forces (wind).
