Sharon Tube announces plant expansion
Sharon Tube Co., Sharon, Pa., has announced a miltimillion dollar expansion to its Wheatland, Pa., cold draw facility.
Cold drawing equipment and 22,000 sq. ft. of production space will be added to the facility. The expansion is intended to increase the cold drawn size range to 6.250-in.-OD by 0.390-in.-wall tubing. The Wheatland plant produces ASTM-A-513 Type 5 (DOM) mechanical tubing.
The expansion is slated for completion in January 2006.
