Sharon Tube receives recognition
On January 4, 2005, Sharon Tube Co. was selected to participate in the U.S. Army's "Soldier to Supplier" program. The program recognizes key suppliers who support the Army's efforts by providing on-time, quality product.
The company produces the primer tube for the 120-mm ammunition round used in the Abrams tank main artillery gun. The program consisted of U.S. Army representatives touring the company's facilities. The tours then were followed by a presentation to management and plant personnel discussing the tube's application and the part's critical nature. Company President and CEO Bill Perrine was presented with a certificate of appreciation.
