Coe Press Equipment, Sterling Heights, Mich., has announced the installation of a cut-to-length line at Fanasa in Santa Catarina (Nuevo Leon), Mexico, a facility dedicated mainly to stampings and assemblies for the industrial and appliance markets.
The new line comprises a CPRF-SM4 48-in. ServoMaster roll feed, a CPDTT-4815 dual threading table, a CPPS-350-48 power straightener, a CPPS-20048 coil reel and coil car, an HPS-48 hydraulic production shear, and a SPGST-100 single-station drop stacker.
The line can process prepainted and stainless steel up to 0.074 in. thick by 48 in. wide with coil weights up to 10,000 lbs. The hydraulic production shear can attain 30 cuts/min. and features four-sided, hardened shear blades and quick-change handcrank blade gap adjustment.
The drop stacker is designed with high-speed drop fingers to provide direct stacking of the blanks. The stacker also has a lift table capacity of 8,000 lbs., inclusive of conveyor, dunnage, and stack. It can handle blank widths from 13 to 48 in. and lengths from 13 to 96 in.
