FMA’s Sustainable Manufacturer Network will host the Sustainable Manufacturing Conference May 20-21, 2014, at Northern Illinois University’s Naperville Conference Center in Naperville, Ill. For subscribers to The FABRICATOR®, FMA offers 50 percent off the cost of registration.
This two-day conference and tabletop exhibit is dedicated to answering the question, “How do I make my manufacturing operation more sustainable?” Featuring an array of high-quality educational and networking opportunities, it will bring together all the elements a manufacturer needs to know to implement or enhance environmental practices.
Co-located with the Water 2.0 Conference, the Sustainable Manufacturing Conference is designed for owners, plant managers, corporate executives, facilities and EHS managers, engineers, and all others who play a role in making their company’s processes, facilities, operations, and products more sustainable and profitable.
Energy remains a significant cost for building and facility managers. Presenters representing 12 manufacturing companies, including Steelcase, Kerry Ingredients, Purdy (division of Sherwin Williams), Rockwell Collins, Harbec, Crown Equipment, National Office Furniture, JL Clark, and Trimac Industrial Systems, will share sustainability success stories, real-world challenges, and practical solutions to help attendees rethink and reenergize their dedication to ecosavvy manufacturing.
Keynote speaker Michael Potts, president and COO of Orion Energy Systems Inc., a power technology enterprise, will share a high-level perspective, reasserting the importance and value of making operations more sustainable and profitable. Attendees will learn how to implement energy-efficiency initiatives that follow a conserve/control/create strategy in their own facilities.

Registration fees are $395 for Sustainable Manufacturing Network members and $595 for nonmembers. The FABRICATOR subscribers receive an additional 50 percent off registration. To receive the subscriber discount, register by phone at 888-394-4362.
