Bosch Rexroth technology group offers ergonomics check list

The Linear Motion and Assembly Technologies group for Bosch Rexroth Corp., Buchanan, Mich., offers the "Manual Workplace Systems 7-Step Ergonomic Checklist," a guide to designing a work area that fits workers and work tasks.
The check list is intended to help manufacturers design manual production systems and workstations that improve worker efficiency, safety, morale, and production. Available for download at the company's Web site, www.boschrexroth-us.com/lean, it examines ergonomic issues such as work height, size of grab area, and parts container layout, with multiple illustrations and diagrams included for each step.
