3D MakerJet R&D prototypes powderless wire-feed metal 3-D printer
3D MakerJet Inc., Orlando, Fla., in partnership with Chinese developer ZBOT/Guangzhou DNSPOWER Design Co., has been working toward powderless wire-feed additive manufacturing.
After 1.5 years in R&D, functioning prototypes using metal alloy filaments, including copper, have been reviewed and have successfully met industry standards. The firm is concentrating on both laser and extruder 3-D printers.
