Amark to open fabrication plant in North Carolina

Amark Corp., Suffolk, Va., has announced plans to convert a vacant plant in Elizabeth City, N.C., into a fabrication shop to cut, weld, and fabricate steel structures and assorted metals. The company makes steel and pipe for general and industrial construction use.

Amark plans to create 43 jobs and spend $1.9 million on capital investments and lease payments over three years. It is eligible for a $126,000 grant from the state.
