Andy J. Egan Co. earns top spot on Michigan best-employer list

Mechanical contractor and fabricator Andy J. Egan Co., Grand Rapids, Mich., has been awarded the top spot on the list of West Michigan's 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For, compiled by the Michigan Business and Professionals Association. This Best of the Best Overall award is given annually to a single company that excels in 11 key human resources categories.

For six consecutive years, Egan has been named to the list, which recognizes the region’s most innovative and thoughtful human resources approaches. This is the first time the company has received the competition’s top honor.

During the selection process, an independent research firm evaluates each company’s entry based on key measures in categories including compensation, benefits, and employee solutions; employee enrichment, engagement, and retention; employee education and development; recruitment, selection, and orientation; employee achievement and recognition; communication and shared vision; diversity and inclusion; work-life balance; community initiatives; strategic company performance; and the best of the best small business.
