Applied Manufacturing Technologies joins Save Your Factory initiative

Applied Manufacturing Technologies Inc. (AMT), Orion, Mich., a supplier of automation design, engineering, and process consulting services, has joined the Save Your Factory initiative.

The collaborative industry initiative is a consortium of automation industry companies aiming to provide North American manufacturers with guidance on alternatives to moving manufacturing facilities offshore. Founded by FANUC Robotics America Inc., Rochester Hills, Mich., the initiative was formed to maximize North American manufacturing competitiveness and increase efficiency without moving facilities to other countries.

The initiative's Web site, www.saveyourfactory.com, includes studies, position papers, articles, tips, resources, and a full list of members.

AMT's services include design and simulation, programming, installation, and support of industrial automation products.
