Auto industry supplier voestalpine to open in Georgia

Automotive industry supplier voestalpine Metal Forming, under its automotive body parts unit, will build a $62 million manufacturing facility near Cartersville, Ga., creating 220 jobs. The plant will provide pressed parts in the body-in-white segment, as well as structural components.

Part of the Austria-based voestalpine Group — a steel processing and technology group that operates manufacturing and processing facilities worldwide — voestalpine Metal Forming operates business units including automotive body parts, tubes and sections, and precision strip.
