AWS launches interactive website for personal career management, education

The American Welding Society (AWS), Miami, has launched the AWS WeldLink career planning and management system to bring together individuals, businesses, and schools in the welding industry.

The website at www.awsweldlink.org is designed to address the complete life cycle of professional welder development. The system allows visitors to create an online profile that tracks their certifications, education, and work history. The site then matches them with welding career paths, locates welding programs, and directly enrolls them in training programs through AWS’s online education program, AWS Learning. Visitors also can view open job positions at various companies with direct links to apply.

Businesses also can use the site to identify and recruit individuals with the right skills and post job listings. Academic institutions can access welding education resources through the site, recruit students, and help those students find employment.
