Ball acquires two Sonoco metal end and closure plants

Ball Corp., Broomfield, Colo., has acquired Sonoco's metal end and closure facilities in Canton, Ohio. The Canton plants, which employ approximately 100 people and produce multiple-sized closures for the food can market, will become part of Ball's global metal food and household products packaging division.

Ball manufactures recyclable two- and three-piece steel food cans in a variety of sizes.
