Balluff appoints president/CEO

Sensor provider Balluff Inc., Florence, Ky., has appointed Tony Canonaco as president effective immediately and as CEO effective Aug. 1. Kent Howard, previous president and CEO, is transitioning into retirement and will move into the role of adviser to the president and board of directors.

Canonaco has more than 25 years of sales and leadership experience in the field of industrial automation. He worked most recently at Omron as general manager and vice president of sales for Canada. He also previously held positions at Danaher Motion, Bosch Rexroth, and Eaton in various leadership capacities. He has an MBA from Capital University and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Dayton.
