Boeing provides $50,000 grant to Workshops for Warriors
Workshops for Warriors (WFW), a San Diego nonprofit school providing veterans free training and nationally recognized industry credentials in CAD/CAM programming, CNC machining, and welding, has received a $50,000 grant from Boeing.
The grant is crucial in allowing Workshops for Warriors to support workforce development by providing quality training, accredited STEM educational programs, and opportunities to earn third-party nationally recognized credentials.
Between 2011 and 2015, Workshops for Warriors trained more than 200 veterans and wounded warriors. Graduates obtained jobs in advanced manufacturing after completing their programs. To learn about enrollment or donating to help support the program and its mission, visit workshopsforwarriors.org.
