BorgWarner expands operations in Illinois

BorgWarner, Auburn Hills, Mich., has announced plans to invest $9.4 million in its plant in Dixon, Ill., over the next three years. The expansion is expected to create 40 jobs in manufacturing, product engineering, supplier quality, supply chain, and technical and quality support.

The plant currently has a total area of 135,000 sq. ft. and a workforce of 210.

The company is a producer of highly engineered components and systems for power trains worldwide, with manufacturing and technical facilities in 60 locations in 19 countries.
