Canam Group to acquire Quincy Joist

Canam Group Inc., Saint-Georges-de-Beauce, Quebec, has announced that its subsidiary, Canam Steel Corp., has signed an agreement to acquire the steel joist fabrication assets of Quincy Joist Co., a subsidiary of Schuff Intl. Inc. These assets include a plant in Buckeye, Ariz., and all its equipment and inventory, as well as a Quincy, Fla., plant, equipment, and inventory, but not the land.

The equipment will be transferred to Canam Group's other joist fabrication plants; no decision has been made in connection with the buildings.
