Caterpillar to close Progress Rail Services plant in Ontario
Progress Rail Services, a subsidiary of Caterpillar, has announced plans to close the London, Ont., Electro-Motive Diesel locomotive plant after union workers refused to take a 50 percent pay cut.
The closure eliminates 465 jobs. Production will be moved to other Caterpillar plants in North and South America.
