CB Fabricating announces facility, personnel expansion in Indiana

Sheet metal fabricator CB Fabricating Inc. has opened an additional 9,000-sq.-ft. facility in Anderson, Ind., and added 13 full-time jobs in 2015. The new building houses light assembly services.

The company has added contracts from customers in the janitorial, energy, agriculture, medical, entertainment, and sports industries in 2015.

“As new national customers have come onboard, we're being asked to do more to help them streamline projects and operations. Adding the new building gives us space for light assembly and storage for these larger contracts,” said Chris Barkdull, owner. “Instead of only fabricating components, we can now provide end-to-end service design for manufacturing, fabricate the components, and do assembly for completed products that are repacked and shipped out as finished products.”

This is the second major facility expansion for the company in less than 18 months. In 2014 CB Fabricating completed a 6,500-sq.-ft. building addition to house a 4,000-W Amada FO MII 3015 NT Laser Flex Cell and additional CNC equipment, increasing its production capabilities by more than 75 percent.
