Cincinnati Incorporated appoints president/CEO

Cincinnati Incorporated, Harrison, Ohio, a build-to-order machine tool manufacturer, has announced that its board of directors has chosen Carey Chen as the company’s next president and CEO, effective January 2015. He also will serve as a member of the board of directors. Chen succeeds Andrew Jamison, who will retire.

Chen previously served as vice president and general manager – light industrial businesses at Hypertherm Inc. During his tenure there, he also concurrently led several corporate functions in roles including chief information officer and CFO. His other experience includes serving as vice president finance at Wiremold/Legrand and vice president and CFO for Bayliner Marine Corp. He began his career at AlliedSignal, holding roles with increasing responsibilities in finance and strategic analysis.

Chen earned his undergraduate degree in applied mathematics from UCLA and his MBA from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana.
