CNA leader elected to FMA’s Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs foundation
Franklin Maccotan, director and industry leader of manufacturing for commercial insurance writer CNA, has been elected to serve as a director for a two-year term on the board of Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs® (NBT), the charitable foundation of the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association Intl. (FMA), Rockford, Ill.
Maccotan has been with CNA since 2010. He is responsible for the oversight and management of the fabricated metals and industrial machinery subsegments of CNA’s manufacturing segment in its western zone. He also leads the FMA Commercial Affiliation Marketing (CAM®) program.
Grants from NBT provide seed funding for community and technical college organizers offering summer manufacturing camps designed to inspire junior high and high school students to consider careers in manufacturing and provide scholarships to help community/technical college and trade school students studying to prepare for careers in manufacturing.
