CNA supports Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs with $15,000 donation

Chicago-based commercial insurance writer CNA has presented a $15,000 donation to Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs (NBT), the educational foundation of the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association Intl. (FMA), Rockford, Ill., in support of its summer manufacturing camps.

This summer 505 students attended one of the 34 camps held on community and technical college campuses across the country, where they learned specific manufacturing-related skills to help them understand and appreciate the value of a career based on designing, planning, and constructing tangible products.

The multifaceted camps offer instruction in CAD, welding, robotics, and a variety of manufacturing technologies, as well as practical instruction in career development and ways to harness entrepreneurial initiative.
