Coldwater-built panel lines help Whirlpool earn Platinum TPM certification

Coldwater Machine Co. has announced that Whirlpool’s Findlay, Ohio, plant has achieved Platinum-level certification in total productivity maintenance (TPM) for its Dishwasher Front Panel Line 4 and Line 5, both designed and built by Coldwater. The main focus for achieving this status includes overall equipment effectiveness and waste elimination. The Whirlpool team members involved in achieving this status include operators, maintenance employees, engineers, and department leaders.

Coldwater first supplied the automated panel lines to Whirlpool in 2010. Both the lines perform multiple functions for processing of steel dishwasher panels, including blank handling; datum trim and pierce; trim of blank top and bottom; bending of top, bottom, and sides; louver pierce and corner restrike to tighten corners; and panel transfer.
