Concept Laser founder recognized for achievements

Frank Herzog, founder and president/CEO of Concept Laser GmbH, Lichtenfels, Germany, the developer of the LaserCUSING 3-D metal printing process, recently was recognized with two awards for his pioneering work and achievements, as well as his entrepreneurial ideas and activity.

Herzog was named Best Pioneer in the Manufacturing and 3D Printing Industry 2016 by the readers of European Business magazine. The award recognizes that with the development of powder bed-based 3-D metal printing, the presentation of the first industrial machine of this type at Euromold 2001, as well as 65 patents and 120 ongoing patent applications, he has made a lasting impact on the industry and on additive manufacturing.

In addition, Herzog was again named Best CEO in the Additive Manufacturing Industry by European CEO magazine. For the second year in a row, he was recognized for his innovative achievements in additive manufacturing and his outstanding level of performance as a manager within a dynamically growing company.
