Desch Canada expands, installs two test stands

Desch Canada Ltd., a provider of power transmission and drive train products, has added 16,000 sq. ft. to its Cambridge, Ont., facility, expanding its manufacturing and service area.

The company has installed two new test stands. One test stand is for the gearboxes manufactured and serviced at the facility; the other is for the grinding in process after servicing, specifically for the company’s Planox safety clutches in extrusion machines. This test stand allows the manufacturer to send out clutches with a torque curve specific to that clutch.
