DeWys Manufacturing invests in new technology

West Michigan-based metal fabrication company DeWys Manufacturing Inc. has announced that it has invested in an automated loader/un-loader for its new laser cutting systems. The company recently acquired a new Amada Pulsar 2415 4kW 5 ft. by 16 ft. Production Laser System from Amada America. The company now has taken production one step further with the Amada LMP 2412a compact automated loader/unloader.

"We are continually looking for ways to improve our lead times, focusing on the latest technology to automate, while keeping our lean journey in mind. With this automation for our new machine, we can compress our lead times even further to meet our customers' increasingly shorter lead time requirements, while at the same time providing the much needed domestic option of lower cost," said Jon DeWys, president of DeWys Manufacturing, Inc.
