Dover Hydraulics acquires Gross Welders and Fabricators, expands headquarters

Dover Hydraulics, a provider of comprehensive hydraulic service and repair in Dover, Ohio, has acquired Gross Welders and Fabricators, New Philadelphia, Ohio. The acquisition allows Dover Hydraulics to expand its in-house and portable welding capabilities and metal fabrication capabilities to serve the gas, oil, steel, mining, and construction industries.

The company has been renamed Dover Fabrication and Burn Inc. and maintains its current staff of eight employees in New Philadelphia.

The company also has expanded its headquarters in Dover with a 14,000-sq.-ft. addition, increasing work capacity by 50 percent. The new facility houses additional machining, welding, and grinding equipment and new heavy-duty lifting and moving equipment. The expansion allows the company to bring work in-house that previously was outsourced.

"The additional space has allowed us to expand our disassembly area and testing equipment. We have also added a state-of-the-art clean assembly area, as well as 5- and 10-ton bridge cranes," said J.C. Raies, director of sales and marketing.
