D&S Mfg. to add powder coating capabilities

D&S Mfg., Black River Falls, Wis., a custom manufacturer of large-scale components, assemblies, and complete weldments, has announced that it will upgrade its offline liquid spray painting system and integrate powder coating capabilities within its production environment.

"Our upgraded facility will enable us to increase throughput by 300 percent while reducing production from three shifts to two," said Rob Bucek, production control manager. "We will also be able to accommodate components that are as weighty as 10,000 lbs. and far more efficiently process smaller parts."
