Eclipse Automation expands into custom manufacturing

Eclipse Automation Inc. has opened an additional manufacturing facility in Cambridge, Ont. The new, 25,000-sq.-ft. facility, operating as Eclipse Custom Mfg., houses fabrication equipment; GMAW and GTAW equipment; two 10-ton, 60-ft. span cranes; and sandblasting and painting facilities.

The plant, which employs 25 full-time workers, incorporates welding capabilities for mild steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum, as well as mixed materials. Final finishing in the sandblast and paint facility can accommodate projects 18 ft. wide, 32 ft. long, and 16 ft. high. Other capabilities can be integrated as well, including machining, PLC programming, electrical wiring, and hydraulic piping.

The plant is designed to undertake full subassembly manufacturing, custom fabrication, and build-to-print replication projects.
