Electron Beam Eng. adds laser marking services

Electron Beam Eng. Inc., Anaheim, Calif., an electron beam and laser beam welding company, has added laser marking services for etching and engraving metals and ceramics.

The noncontact process permanently marks products using a laser beam that quickly passes over the surface of the desired image, while carving out microscopic fragments of material. Laser marking is permanent and resistant to abrasion, heat, and acids.

The company can accommodate large and small laser marking jobs.
