Eutectic Canada gas atomizer in full production

Eutectic Canada has launched a next-generation gas atomizer program that enables the company to produce thermal spray and PTA coating powders in its Granby, Quebec, facility.

The company now is producing metal and metal-matrix powders using the gas atomization process. It produces spherical particles that result in high-density, porosity-free deposits. The alloy properties require minimal heat input and deliver high deposition rates.

The alloys include self-fluxing alloys in nickel, cobalt, and copper as well as metals and metal alloys to meet ASTM and customer specifications. The atomizer allows for high-pressure atomization for fine-powder production.
