Fabricators & Manufacturers Association board of directors elects new members, officers

George Bogan, president & COO of Main Steel Polishing, Tinton Falls, N.J.; Rob Clark, vice president-operations, Clark Metal Products, Blairsville, Penn.; Vivek Gupta, managing director, Texas Profab Corp. of Carrollton, Texas; and Dan McLeod, general manager, Brenco Industries Ltd., Delta, British Columbia, Canada were elected to the board of directors of the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, International (FMA) at the group's recent annual meeting. All will serve three-year terms on the 15-member board.
In addition, two new associate directors were appointed to one year terms on the board: Lyle Menke, vice president, administration & marketing, Peddinghaus Corp. of Bradley, Ill.; and Jerry Ward, vice president-operations, Metcam Inc., Alpharetta, Ga.
Current board member Dave Barber, president, The Wilmington Grill Co. of Wilmington, N.C., was elected chairman. Barber became active on the FMA board in 2006.
In addition to Barber, the slate of board officers for 2011-2012 includes: Burke Doar, vice president, sales & marketing, TRUMPF, Inc., Farmington, Conn., as 1st vice chairman; Carlos Rodriguez-Borjas, president, Feralloy Corp., Chicago, Ill., as 2nd vice chairman; and Edwin Stanley, partner, GH Metal Solutions, Fort Payne, Ala., as secretary/treasurer.
Based in Rockford, Ill., the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, Intl. (FMA), is a professional organization with nearly 2,300 members working together to improve the metal fabricating and forming industry. Founded in 1970, FMA brings metal fabricators and fabricating equipment manufacturers together through technology councils, educational programs, networking events, and the FABTECH trade show.
FMA also has two technology affiliates, the Tube & Pipe Association, International (TPA), which focuses on the unique needs of companies engaged in tube and pipe producing and fabricating; and Green Manufacturer Network, a professional organization of individual members dedicated to working toward environmentally-friendly manufacturing.
