FABTECH Canada has increased number of attendees, exhibitors

FABTECH® Canada, the largest metal forming, fabricating, welding, and finishing event in Canada, has announced that its 2014 show, held in Toronto in March, had more attendees and exhibitors, as well as floor space, than the previous show.

The verified total attendance of 6,489 represents an 11 percent increase over the launch event in 2012. Almost 300 exhibitors displayed products and equipment in 73,630 net sq. ft. of exhibits at the Toronto Congress Centre. An educational program, held simultaneously at the three-day expo, featured targeted technical, operational, economic, and managerial sessions.

The opening day keynote speech, “Diversity in the Workplace: Embracing Women in Manufacturing,” by TV personality, metal fabricator, and race car driver Jessi Combs was followed by a panel discussion examining the current state of women in manufacturing.

Upcoming FABTECH shows are FABTECH Mexico, May 6-8, 2014, at the Centro Banamex in Mexico City and FABTECH 2014, Nov. 11-13, 2014, at the Georgia World Congress Center, Atlanta. FABTECH is co-sponsored by the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association Intl. (FMA), SME, the American Welding Society (AWS), the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA), and the Chemical Coaters Association Intl. (CCAI).
