FMA’s Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs foundation announces 2015 spring scholarship winners

Thirteen students seeking careers in manufacturing each earned $2,500 toward their postsecondary studies from Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs, The Foundation of the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, Intl.® (FMA).

Scholarships were awarded to the following students for the upcoming 2015 spring semester to help pay for tuition, books, and supplies:

  • Angela Aviles, Palatine, Ill.—Welding technology/maintenance technology, Harper College
  • Louis Bogowith, Gainesville, Mo.—Welding, Lincoln College of Technology
  • Jovani Blas, Franklin Park, Ill.—Engineering technology/mechanical design, Triton College
  • Michael Czerniakowski, Toledo, Ohio—Engineering, The Ohio State University
  • John Dubravec, Rockford, Mich.—Engineering manufacturing, University of Michigan
  • Mark Emond Jr., Oxford, Wis.—Automated manufacturing systems technology, Madison Area Technical College
  • James McClure, Zimmerman, Minn.—Mechanical drafting, Anoka Technical College
  • Michael Murphy, Marion, Iowa—CNC machining, Kirkwood Community College
  • Morgan Nash, Kettering, Ohio—Mechanical engineering, The Ohio State University
  • Robert Robinson, Niceville, Fla.—Drafting and design, Northwest Florida State College
  • Titus Shumaker, Oxford, Mich.—Mechanical engineering, Kettering University
  • Joshua Smith, Loveland, Colo.—Biomedical engineering and mechanical engineering, Colorado State University
  • Sydney Tefft, Salem, Ill.—Mechanical engineering, Saint Louis University

Czerniakowski also received a scholarship from the endowment created within the foundation for FMA’s Outside Processors Council.
