GE Appliances expands operations in Georgia

GE Appliances has completed an expansion at its cooking products plant, Roper Corp., in LaFayette, Ga., adding a 1,100-ton power press for producing metal parts for a new line of wall ovens.

The company has invested $88 million to support the new wall oven line and to update the free-standing range products manufactured at the plant, all of which have been restyled.
