GE opens French door refrigerator factory in Kentucky

GE has opened a new factory at the Appliance Park in Louisville, Ky., that will manufacture the company’s new product line — a French door, bottom-freezer refrigerator series. The refrigerator line will support 600 new local jobs, according to the manufacturer.

The new facility follows the February opening of the GeoSpring™ hybrid water heater manufacturing facility, the first new factory to open at Appliance Park since 1957.
