German exhibition to display sheet metalworking technology

EuroBLECH 2008, a technology exhibition for sheet metalworking, is scheduled to run Oct. 21-25 in Hanover, Germany. Currently 1,350 exhibitors from 37 countries have already booked exhibit space for the event, which is organized by Mack Brooks Exhibitions, U.K.

Exhibiting companies will present their products and systems for the different technology sectors of sheet metalworking in eight exhibition halls covering 85,000 sq. m. The show will cover 10,000 sq. m more than the previous event in 2006, making it the biggest EuroBLECH show ever, the organizer reports.

Of the current exhibitors, about 45 percent come from outside of Germany. The largest exhibitor countries are Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Turkey, Spain, France, Austria, Taiwan, and the U.S. The organizer expects a large number of visitors from outside of Germany. The 2006 exhibition hosted more than 64,000 visitors from 73 countries, with 36 percent coming from outside of Germany.

Technologies will include sheet metal; semifinished and finished products; handling; separation; forming/flexible sheet metalworking; joining/welding; surface; tools; process and quality control systems; CAD/CAM applications; and R&D. Exhibitors will include suppliers of sheet metal parts, as well as subcontractors.

The event's theme is "Quality, Flexibility, Productivity" to emphasize adapting fabrication processes to global market requirements.

A comprehensive visitor leaflet outlining the exhibition is available in 12 languages. Comprising a hall plan, the exhibition profile, and accommodation and travel information, the leaflet is available free of charge at www.euroblech.com.
