GMI Group achieves AS9100C and ISO 9001:2015 certifications

Houston-based GMI Group, a manufacturer of parts for aerospace, including major airframe assemblies and smaller components, has achieved both the AS9100C and ISO 9001:2015 certifications several months ahead of schedule.

In addition to updating its quality management system, the company has built a special work center dedicated to aerospace manufacturing. Its turning capabilities now are aligned to help address the nation's growing need for new helicopter parts. The firm plans to assist with the Future Vertical Lift initiative, the goal of which is to replace the U.S. Armed Forces’ aging helicopter fleet over the next 40 years.
