Gulf Island Fabrications buys Leevac Shipyards

Gulf Island Fabricators, based in Houston, has announced plans to purchase the assets of Leevac Shipyards.

The acquisition includes leasehold interests at Leevac’s marine fabrication facilities in Jennings, La., and Lake Charles, La., and substantially all of its machinery and equipment.
