Hino Motors to invest in West Virginia plant

Truck manufacturer Hino Motors Mfg. USA has announced plans to support its Williamstown, W.Va., plant with nearly $6 million in direct and indirect investments. Of that amount, $2.9 million will be invested directly into machinery, equipment, and plant improvements, while about $3 million will be invested indirectly to purchase tooling that will be located at suppliers outside of West Virginia. The tooling is integral to the production of parts that support increased truck production assembly in Williamstown.

The facility currently employs approximately 140 permanent, full-time employees and expects to create an additional 20 permanent, full-time positions by Jan. 1, 2013.
