ITA establishes charitable foundation
International Titanium Association (ITA) has announced it has established the International Titanium Foundation (ITF). The charitable foundation will offer opportunities to the titanium industry to make tax-free contributions in support of connecting youth interested in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM)-related fields with the goal of becoming engaged in the titanium metal industry.
The foundation will support students and educators involved in STEM-related initiatives with information about titanium metals and the extensive uses of titanium alloys. It will offer academic scholarships to students interested in the titanium field, promote R&D, establish programs tailored to attract more diversity in STEM-related careers and to the titanium industry, and help organize cooperative education or internship opportunities with prospective employers in the industry.
