Matheson acquires Continental Carbonic Products

Matheson Tri-Gas Inc., a manufacturer and supplier of industrial, medical, electronics, and specialty gases and welding supplies based in Basking Ridge, N.J., has acquired Continental Carbonic Products Inc., a Decatur, Ill.-based manufacturer and supplier of dry ice and liquid carbon dioxide.

The acquired business operates 31 branch locations and eight production facilities located throughout the Midwestern, Eastern, and Southern U.S.

CCPI operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of Matheson with a separate board of directors. John Funk continues as president of CCPI and serves on the board of directors.
