Matheson acquires Sims Welding Supply

Basking Ridge, N.J.-based Matheson has acquired Sims Welding Supply, Long Beach, Calif. Sims, a supplier of industrial, specialty, and bulk gases, as well as welding equipment and supplies, operates out of seven locations in Southern California.

Commenting on the acquisition, Scott Kallman, president and CEO of Matheson, said, “We are greatly improving the cylinder distribution component of our infrastructure, which complements our significant bulk liquid production capacity in the Los Angeles market.”

Matheson provides industrial, welding, and safety supplies; medical, specialty, and electronic gases; gas handling equipment; purification systems; engineering and gas management services; and on-site gas generation.
