Metal Sales metal wall panels clad condo building in Los Angeles

Metal Sales™ Mfg. Corp., Louisville, Ky., has provided T2630 perforated and solid metal wall panels for Cloverdale749, a 10,500-sq.-ft. residential structure located in Los Angeles.

“We specified metal because we know it works well in the Southern California climate,” said Lorcan O’Herlihy, FAIA, president of Lorcan O’Herlihy Architects. “The perforated panels allowed us to achieve an effect of translucent layers wrapping the exterior, which was the primary focus of our design.”

All panel colors from Metal Sales, including the Linen White used in this building, are listed with ENERGY STAR® as helping to reduce the solar heat load on the building and, as a result, its energy expenditures for cooling. The panels have a lifespan of 50 years or more, are 100 percent recyclable, and contain a high percentage of recycled material.
