METALCON International 2010 to be held in October

The 20th annual METALCON International Conference and Exhibition for metal construction products and technologies will be held Oct. 20-22, 2010, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Sponsored by the Metal Construction Association, the show will include new product exhibits, an educational conference, and live demonstrations of the latest techniques for roofing, architectural, and structural applications. The focus will be on the use of sustainable metal, long recognized for its low maintenance, high durability, and ability to be fully recycled.

This annual show draws nearly 8,000 designers, builders, developers, contractors, fabricators, and suppliers from more than 50 countries.

Highlights will include more than 800 booths filled with the latest metal building products and services; Green Island, an exhibit area featuring metal-related products that meet green building standards for recycled content, recyclability, durability, and energy efficiency; Solar Bay, a special pavilion in the show featuring educational forums and full-scale mockups of solar technologies on metal roofs and walls; New Product Harbor, a tabletop area featuring a selection of new product introductions; and live demonstrations every 30 minutes.
