TRUMPF Inc., a manufacturer of fabricating machinery and lasers, has opened a new laser micromachining applications laboratory at its headquarters in Farmington, Conn. At the lab, the TruMicro team can demonstrate microprocessing technology for customers, solve specific application requests, and support integration into customers’ production lines from the U.S.

The lab is equipped with the TruMicro series 5000 and 7000 machines, which run infrared, green, and UV laser wavelengths for applications in drilling, cutting, and ablation. The lab also features a diagnostic station with a high-resolution microscope, where the company's application engineers can analyze and document their feasibility tests and time studies.
