Mio Metals promotes nine nonprofits to help raise awareness, donations

San Francisco-based Mio Metals, a manufacturer of custom metal products with less than 10 employees, is devoting its December marketing budget to raising awareness for nine nonprofit organizations. With a specifically curated Giving Guide, the company has selected nonprofits based on their mission, size, and area of focus and is encouraging employees, clients, and vendors to donate.

The nine organizations are separated into the categories of international, domestic, and environmental.

“A simple donation-matching program won’t make much of a dent with only eight employees,” said President Joe Cain. “Devoting our media buys and promotions to these causes will increase awareness and be more impactful.”

Mio Metals has not given up on matching contributions, however. In addition to dollar-for-dollar matching the contributions from employees, the firm will promote weekly matching campaigns for the month of December open to anyone.

The Giving Guide can be downloaded at www.miometals.com. Links to the donation pages of each nonprofit also are available.
