Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Americas Savannah Machinery Works is Georgia Manufacturer of 2015

The Savannah Machinery Works of Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Americas (MHPSA) has been recognized as the 2015 Georgia Manufacturer of the Year for medium-sized businesses. Gov. Nathan Deal presented the award to the leadership of MHPSA at an event held at the Georgia International Convention Center.

The award is presented to manufacturers that demonstrate a high degree of corporate responsibility, provide a positive economic impact on Georgia, and who set high marks for workforce excellence.

Earlier this year, a team member of Savannah Machinery Works received the Women in Manufacturing STEP (science, technology, engineering, and production) Award presented by The Manufacturing Institute in Washington, D.C.

The Savannah Machinery Works manufactures advanced-technology, fuel-efficient gas and steam turbines and provides complete gas and steam turbine services. The facility, located in Pooler, near Savannah, officially opened in October 2010. It houses more than 440,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space and equipment. Besides producing turbines, the facility provides critical services to fossil power producers throughout the Western Hemisphere.
